The Sonoma-Marin Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) announces the 13th Annual Saralee McClelland Kunde Memorial Sonoma County Youth Pruning Contest and the 10th Annual Viticulture Challenge has been rescheduled for
Saturday, February 11, 2017
at 9:30 a.m. with registration check-in beginning at 9 a.m.
This event will be at the SRJC Shone Farm, 7450 Steve Olson Ln, Forestville, CA 95436. Entry Forms are due no later than February 6.
The pruning contest will be judged on skill, speed and safety. Pruning shears or loppers can be used. The pruning contest is open to all Sonoma County Youth, including 4-H, FFA and High School Viticulture students in the following age brackets:
- Ages 9-10
- Ages 11-12
- Age 13
- Ages 14-15
- Ages 16-19
Individual and team prizes will be awarded. Refreshments will be served. The contest is open to the public and admission is free.
Students interested in competing in the February 11, Pruning Contest and/or Viticulture Challenge must submit their registration forms no later than February 6, 2017.
