Efren Carrillo is honored to have the endorsement of the Sonoma County Farm Bureau and to have spent the last four years meeting with those in the agricultural community to better understand the needs of our local farmers and ranchers. As County Supervisor, Efren has been able to protect agricultural lands that have been a part of the local landscape for decades. In the next four years, Supervisor Carrillo will continue working with the agricultural community to reach out and listen to their concerns.
Efren is an active proponent of maintaining our local “Right to Farm Ordinance” that protects local farmers and ranchers from unnecessary government intrusions in local farming operations. He will also listen to those in the agricultural community as the revised Vineyard Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinance (VESCO) takes effect. While he understands the impact the new VESCO ordinance may have on some farmers, he is committed to listening to those in the agricultural community about the impacts it has on their farming operations.
Efren will continue to be an engaged leader on agricultural issues and is honored to have the endorsement of the Sonoma County Farm Bureau. He will continue to facilitate the dialogue needed for county government to understand the issues facing the agricultural community now and in the years ahead.
