On Thursday, April 27th 2023, Marin County Farm Bureau held their Annual Dinner. The crowd was joyful as attendees were glad to see each other and catch-up at Margaret Todd Center in Novato. Guests enjoyed a hosted social hour where Sonoma-Marin YF&R tended bar and guests perused amazing and fun raffle items.

Marin County Farm Bureau Board members led the program, Kate Sears and Stacy Carlsen were honored as “Friends of Farm Bureau.” Kevin Lunny spoke about Sears, sharing a story about touring oyster-beds on a boat with the then newly elected Supervisor and Sam Dolcini spoke about Carlsen and the lifetime impact he had on Marin as Ag Commissioner.

California Farm Bureau Field Representative Gary Sack spoke about issues facing agriculture across the state and in our region and the impact of Farm Bureau. Amplifying our voice by joining together, Farm Bureau can have a real impact on the numerous issues affecting agriculture, small business owners, and rural property owners.

The Annual Dinner was a huge success, we look forward to seeing Marin agriculture community members at Western Weekend in June. Marin County Farm Bureau thanks board members that have served diligently for local agriculture; Brian Dolcini, President; Martin Pozzi, 1st Vice President; Jarrod Mendoza, 2nd Vice President; Steve Mahrt, Treasurer; Mike Lawson, Secretary; Jerry Corda, Sam Dolcini, Dominic Grossi, Richard Grossi, Kevin Lunny, Peter Martinelli, Sally Pozzi, Ernest Spaletta, and John Taylor.

Marin County Farm Bureau thanks those who came out for the Annual Dinner and thanks American Ag Credit for being a sponsor. Reconnecting with colleagues in agriculture was relished and Marin County Farm Bureau looks forward to continuing to work for the advancement of all agriculture in Marin.
