The Napa, Sonoma, & Marin County Agricultural Commissioner’s Offices are reaching out to gauge interest in a regional pesticide collection event that will provide our commercial operations with an opportunity to dispose of their unwanted pesticides for free (no home-use products will be accepted).  This is a collaborative effort with all costs related to hosting the event and disposal of collected pesticides being covered by US Environmental Protection Agency, the California Department of Pesticide Regulation, and the three participating counties’ Agriculture Departments.

It is extremely important that you submit a Pre-Registration Survey if you wish to participate as we will be using survey responses to determine if enough interest exists to host the event.  If there is, we plan to host the event sometime in the 1st quarter of 2024 and will be sending out a follow-up registration survey to determine the types and amounts of materials you intend to bring.

IMPORTANT:  This collection event is ONLY intended for operations based out of Napa, Sonoma, and Marin Counties.  This is an amnesty event, and no regulatory action will be pursued because of your participation!  If you are concerned about bringing banned or otherwise illegal-to-use products, please don’t be as possessing and/or storing these materials is NOT illegal and they WILL be accepted for disposal at the event.

The survey link will be distributed through the counties’ websites and email.  Please contact your home County’s Agriculture Department if you have questions about the event or are interested in participating, but are unable to submit an online survey:
