Another Crab Feed in the Books

As the 32nd Annual Great Sonoma Crab and Wine Fest season comes to a close I would like to thank so many Sonoma County community members and Sonoma County Farm Bureau supports for attending our event on March 19, 2022. I would also like to thank our wonderful team of volunteers, including the 4-H and FFA servers, and the staff that makes this event so enjoyable for our guests. I especially would like to thank our event sponsors. The support we received from local businesses and community members this year through sponsorships and donations was truly amazing.

I heard many times during the event from our guests that it was so exciting to finally mix and mingle again after the two-year-long event hiatus. I couldn’t agree more that an event like this was long overdue. I’m grateful that the Sonoma County Farm Bureau could host an event that helped bring our community back together.

The Sonoma County Farm Bureau was shown incredible monetary support through the silent and live auctions during the event. My heart feels so happy knowing that the money raised will be given back to ag education and scholarships. As a past Farm Bureau Foundation scholarship recipient myself, it was amazing to see such great support for the next generation of Sonoma County agriculturalists.

As most of our supporters know, the original date for the 32nd Annual Crab Feed and Wine Fest was scheduled for the first weekend in February 2022. We appreciate our guests being so flexible with our date change as the new Covid-19 protocol emerged early this year. We hope to see those who were unable to attend the event on its new date back at the Fairgrounds next year.

The Sonoma County Farm Burea team did an excellent job rolling with the ever-changing Covid-19 protocols and working through the challenges of hosting one of the first indoor events of great size in Sonoma County since the beginning of the pandemic.

As we planned this event, we were certain that our Sonoma County Farm Bureau community and supporters would show up just as they have for us during the pandemic. We are truly surrounded by the best community.

The Sonoma County Farm Bureau prioritized the health and well-being of our guests while planning the 32nd Annual Great Sonoma Crab and Wine Fest and I think that those efforts shined during the event.

If the success of the Crab Feed is any indication of how the rest of this year’s events will turn out I know that we are in store for an incredible year to come.

Over the past 2 years, it has often felt like there has been a dark cloud hanging over us, but I think I am starting to see sunny days ahead for us. I can’t wait to see everyone again at this year’s events. Once more I thank everyone for their support. If it weren’t for you all Sonoma County Farm Bureau could not accomplish as much as we hope to.
