Exhibitor Guide: Ag Days Theme
The ideas provided are simply suggestions to help you connect your booth to this year’s Ag Days theme. They’re not requirements—just inspiration to get you thinking. We welcome your creativity and look forward to seeing how each exhibitor showcases Sonoma County agriculture’s local and global impact in their own unique way. Every interpretation adds to the richness and excitement of the event!
Ag Days 2026 celebrates the dual role of Sonoma County agriculture: feeding communities locally and globally while protecting the planet for future generations.
Exhibitors are encouraged to showcase:
- Local to Global Connections – how Sonoma agriculture connects with and depends on the wider world.
- Climate-Smart Stewardship – how local farmers and their partners are leading in sustainability.
Ideas for Producer Exhibitors (Farmers, Ranchers, Commodity Groups)
- Global Connections Wall/Map: Show where your product travels after it leaves Sonoma. Use string or arrows to connect Sonoma to other states or countries.
- Seed & Tool Showcase: Display seeds, equipment, or technology that comes from other parts of the world but helps Sonoma farmers succeed.
- Climate-Smart Demonstrations: Highlight a sustainable practice (drip irrigation, composting, cover crops, pollinator habitat).
- Nourishing Communities Examples: Display how your product contributes to everyday meals (milk → cheese/yogurt, apples → snacks, wool → clothing).
- Interactive Soil/Water Activities: Let students compare bare vs. planted soil, test soil moisture, or look at compost.
Ideas for Non-Producer Exhibitors (Agribusiness, Nonprofits, Agencies, Education)
- Agribusiness Showcase: Demonstrate how your company provides tools, seeds, irrigation, financial services, or technology that connect Sonoma farms to the global system. For example, show irrigation tubing, mapping software, or packaging used for exports.
- Nonprofit Engagement: Highlight how your group supports sustainability, youth, or community outreach. Example: pollinator protection programs, scholarships, hunger relief, or educational workshops.
- Agency/Educational Exhibit: (Ag Commissioner, UC Cooperative Extension, RCD, etc.) Share science or data about land stewardship—water savings, soil health, invasive species, or food safety. Use visuals like graphs, microscopes, or simple “science station” experiments.
- Global Trade & Support Systems: Show how regulations, certification programs, or education connect Sonoma products to the world. Example: export requirements, pest prevention at ports, or nutrition programs that ensure safe and healthy food.
- Interactive Career Corner: Provide hands-on examples of ag careers beyond farming—veterinary tools, drone mapping displays, marketing/labeling activities, or food safety inspection kits.
- Community Impact Stories: Share how your organization helps ensure Sonoma ag nourishes local families (food banks, youth programs, school partnerships).
Ideas for Everyone
- Photo Spot/Theme Art: Add a “Locally Grown, World Known” sign or backdrop where students can take photos.
- Hands-On Items: Kids love to touch, taste, and see—bring samples, props, models, or demonstrations.
