Matthew Vosseler has been a dedicated member of the Sonoma County Farm Bureau for the past four years and currently serves on the organization’s Board of Directors. As a grower of hay and grapes and an expert in agricultural mechanics, Matthew remains deeply committed to staying informed and engaged on the issues impacting agriculture in Sonoma County and throughout California.
Matthew values the advocacy, youth programs, and community involvement that Farm Bureau brings to the agricultural community. The Farm Bureau’s Scholarship Foundation played a pivotal role in his educational journey, fully funding his studies at Santa Rosa Junior College and helping lay the groundwork for his career in agriculture.
Beyond his local involvement, Matthew serves on the state committee for California Young Farmers & Ranchers as the District 17 representative, covering Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties. He is also an active member of Sonoma–Marin Young Farmers & Ranchers, where he encourages young people to become more involved in agriculture and Farm Bureau leadership.
Matthew believes Farm Bureau represents more than an agricultural lifestyle — it is about keeping communities connected and fostering collaboration across both rural and non-rural parts of the county. He values the opportunity to advocate for agriculture and to help bridge the gap between farmers, ranchers, and the broader community.
“I joined the Farm Bureau at a time when I knew it was right,” Matthew shared. “It was time to make a commitment to the organization that has helped shape my career. I wanted to be more aware of what was happening in our county and state, especially as agriculture and the world around us continue to change.”
Matthew’s involvement reflects the strength of Farm Bureau programs and the importance of investing in the next generation of agricultural leaders. We are proud to celebrate his contributions to agriculture and his continued commitment to strengthening the Farm Bureau community.
