The Crane Melon Barn is a Sonoma County Historic Site built in 1868 and is the home of the world-famous Crane Melon. From approximately September 1 - October 31, the Barn is open and sells the Original Crane Melon, Crane yellow-meated watermelons, heirloom tomatoes, and much more!

Our melons are very popular and it's a good idea to call first to check availability. There is an answering service which is updated daily with times and days of operation.

Since the Crane Melon is only in season in September and October, the Barn performs other roles. It is home to the annual Crane Holiday Boutique, which opens the weekend after Thanksgiving and runs for 3 weeks.

The Barn is owned and operated by Rick and Cindy Crane and their daughter Jennifer, who are fifth and sixth generation Sonoma County farmers.
