Founded in 1983, Redwood Empire Vineyard Management (REVM) has grown into a trusted, full-service vineyard management company serving Sonoma County and beyond. Built on hard work, stewardship, and strong relationships, REVM reflects the lifelong passion of its founders.
REVM was started by Kevin Barr at just 26 years old after graduating from UC Davis with a degree in Agricultural Science and Management, specializing in viticulture. From the beginning, Kevin took a hands-on approach to building the business. “I worked beside the crews in the vineyard during the day and handled the books at night,” Barr says. “Building this company was about valuing people and doing the work the right way.”
Kevin’s wife and business partner, Linda Barr, is a fourth-generation Sonoma County farmer whose agricultural roots run deep. “Growing up in Sonoma County gave me a deep respect for agriculture and the people who make it possible,” Linda Barr shares. “I especially love working alongside our crews during harvest.”
Tyler Klick joined REVM in 1997 while attending UC Davis and became a partner in 2006. Today, he serves as Vice President, Partner, and Viticulturist, overseeing approximately 2,500 vineyard acres across Sonoma, Mendocino, and Marin Counties. “We stay very close to the day-to-day operations,” Klick explains. “That’s how we maintain quality and build long-term relationships with our clients.” REVM provides turnkey vineyard management, custom farming, vineyard and land development, construction services, viticultural consulting, and grape sales. The company is known for its hands-on leadership and wide-ranging capabilities.
Sustainability is a core value at Redwood Empire Vineyard Management. In 2011, the company became California’s first certified sustainable vineyard management company. “The goal is to farm in a way that is environmentally sound, economically viable, and socially responsible,” Barr emphasizes.
REVM is also a proud Premium Member of Sonoma County Farm Bureau, valuing the advocacy and deep commitment to supporting agriculture at every level.
“Farm Bureau is truly connected to the roots of agriculture and always willing to support farmers,” Barr says. “It plays a vital role in keeping agriculture strong in Sonoma County.”
After more than four decades, Redwood Empire Vineyard Management continues to thrive through strong leadership, dedicated employees, and a lasting commitment to the land.
“Without the employees, none of this would be possible,” Barr adds. “It takes a large family of hardworking people to keep the operation moving forward.”
Thank you, Redwood Empire Vineyard Management, for your continued support!
