2019 YF&R Conference

This two-day leadership conference is attended by over 200 YF&Rs from across California and neighboring states. The conference is an opportunity to network with other YF&Rs, gain insight and ideas for building a better local YF&R program and receive updates on key issues and topics affecting the agriculture industry and young agriculturalists in California.

Beretta Dairy

The Beretta Family is 4th generation and has been in the dairy business since 1948 in Santa Rosa. They decided to transition to organic in 2006 so they could continue their pasture-based dairy.

Spirit Works Distillery

Spirit Works Distillery is a California distillery committed to the grain to glass philosophy, meaning we bring in whole grain which we mill, mash, ferment, and distill entirely on site.

Dutton Ranch

The Dutton family has been working the land in Sonoma County since the 1880s. Today, they sustainably and organically farm 1,300 acres (1100 in vineyards, 200 in apple orchards) in the Russian River Valley and Green Valley AVAs. Their grapes are prized by some of the most respected wineries in California.

Neve Bros.

Family owned and operated with more than 60 years of growing experience, Neve Bros., helped pioneer the way of hydroponic rose growing. Utilizing state of the art technology our greenhouses span over 460,000 sq.ft. and are climate and feed controlled 24 hours a day producing vigorous healthy plants.

Double 8 Dairy

One of only two water buffalo dairies in California. Andrew and Curtis have been making gelato for several years with milk from their herd. They recently began making buffalo mozzarella.

Washoe Valley Duck Farm

Washoe Valley Duck Farm is located in Petaluma California. It is a family owned and operated farm specializing in free range organic pasture duck eggs. Their ducks are free-range and have a supplemented diet that consists of them being able to have access to grass daily and grain that is produced locally in Sonoma County.

Jacuzzi Family Vineyards and The Olive Press

Jacuzzi Family Vineyards specializes in making unique Italian varietals. They use farming method developed to promote and enhance biodiversity in the soil and biological cycles. These methods minimize pollution from the air, soil, and water, and optimize the health and productivity of soil, plants, animals and people.

The Olive Press was the very first olive mill in Sonoma, California and was the brain child of a great man, Edward Stolman. The Olive Press is now known as the most highly awarded olive oil producer in the nation. They are committed to producing the highest quality of olive oil along with an array of handmade artisanal products while serving the pressing needs of the community.

Beltane Ranch

Beltane Ranch is 105 acres of dynamic agricultural preserve including gardens, orchards, vineyards and grazing horses and cattle on one of the last family-owned and operated ranches in the heart of California’s Wine Country.

Beltane Ranch sustainably farms 25 acres of vineyards. Originally part of pioneer viticulturist John Drummond’s ranch, the vineyards were first planted in the 1870’s with cuttings from Bordeaux. The unique volcanic soil, location on the west facing slope to the valley floor, cool mornings and warm afternoon sun have all proven ideal for shaping exceptional sauvignon blanc and zinfandel grapes.

NovaVine

Since 1996, Novavine has worked to provide quality grapevines for premium winemakers. This family business is headquartered in Santa Rosa, California. In 1998 Novavine planted its first increase block of seven acres in Woodland, CA. Now Novavine is farming 325 acres of prime Sacramento Valley land for its field nursery and increase blocks. In 2012, Novavine established its Protocol 2010 block, which has been planted with material that conforms to the highest clean plant standards. Now they produce more than 6 million grapevines annually.
